LAHORE — JAECOO has unveiled the J5 BEV Premium Plus in Pakistan. The all-electric crossover has a claimed 461-kilometre range under the NEDC test cycle.
JAECOO J5 BEV performance and battery
The Premium Plus uses a 58.9 kWh battery and a front-mounted electric motor. It produces 155 kW (207.8 hp) and 288 Nm of torque.
JAECOO claims a 0–100 km/h time of 7.7 seconds. Power is sent to the front wheels.
Charging and equipment
The vehicle supports 11 kW AC charging and up to 130 kW DC fast charging. Its 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load system can power compatible external equipment.
The top-spec variant has a panoramic roof measuring about 1.45 square metres. It also includes ventilated front seats, a 13.2-inch infotainment display, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 540-degree camera system.
Local assembly and real-world range
The J5 BEV is being introduced as a locally assembled electric crossover. It joins JAECOO’s J5 hybrid lineup in Pakistan. The company introduced its J5 SHS HEV variants earlier in 2026.
The 461-kilometre figure comes from the NEDC test cycle. Real-world range can vary with speed, traffic, temperature, air-conditioning use, vehicle load and driving conditions.
The launch comes as JAECOO expands its presence in Pakistan’s electric-vehicle market.
