The Active Taxpayer List, commonly called ATL, shows whether a taxpayer is recognised as an active filer for the relevant period. You should check your status after submitting your return or when a bank, property, or other transaction requires verification.
How to check your status
- Use the current ATL verification facility provided by FBR.
- Choose the taxpayer type and enter the requested identification details.
- Submit the verification request.
- Save the result for your records.
If your status is not active
Confirm that the correct tax year return was submitted, check for pending payment or processing issues, and review any FBR notices. Do not submit duplicate information without first checking your account.
New filers can read how to become an FBR filer, while return-related issues are covered in our income tax return guide.
Disclaimer: ATL rules and verification methods may change. Confirm your result through the latest official FBR facility.
