The government has updated the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme for eligible motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqi vehicles. The previous 5-litre petrol limit per token has been removed.

Eligible users can now receive a Rs. 500 fuel relief token every week and buy petrol according to their actual need. Motorcycles registered on or after January 1, 2006 are also eligible under the updated rules.

How to Register for the Petrol Token

First, register your vehicle by sending an SMS to 9771 in this format:

REG CNIC Number Vehicle Registration Number Province Code Registration Date

Enter the vehicle registration number without spaces. Registration by SMS is free.

How to Get the Fuel Token

After your registration is approved, send TOK to 9771 when you want to claim your fuel relief token.

You will receive a token message. Show it at a participating petrol station to receive the applicable relief.

Relief for Motorcycles, Rickshaws and Qingqi Vehicles

Eligible users can receive one Rs. 500 token per week, up to four tokens per month. The earlier requirement to purchase at least five litres of petrol no longer applies.

Relief for Vehicles Up to 800cc

For vehicles up to 800cc, the existing arrangement provides a Rs. 100-per-litre subsidy on up to 10 litres, with tokens issued according to the scheme’s scheduled cycle.

Important Safety Reminder

The government has stated that there is no registration or SMS fee. Do not pay anyone who demands money for registration or token issuance.
