Pakistan hockey star Abdul Rehman has won the men’s Poligras Magic Skill Award at the FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium and Netherlands 2026. Fans selected his spectacular goal against Wales in a global vote.
Abdul Rehman wins 44% of the vote
Rehman scored during Pakistan’s 3-3 draw with Wales. The forward used impressive 3D skills to beat four defenders before finishing calmly.
He received 44% of the votes in the poll held from September 4 to 13, ahead of Canada’s Kenton Melville, who received 39%.
A standout goal against Wales
The FIH nominated Rehman’s goal among three men’s contenders for the award, alongside moments from Kenton Melville and France’s Eliot Curty. The award recognises creativity, talent and innovative skills during the World Cup.
Pakistan’s World Cup campaign
Pakistan finished 11th after defeating South Africa in a penalty shootout in the final classification match. It was the country’s best World Cup finish since 2006.
Rehman’s award adds an individual highlight to Pakistan’s campaign and gives supporters another international hockey achievement to celebrate.
